$We have been to Albany in Western Australia. It is a small fishing harbour. Unfortunately we could not get off the boat, although we did try. The reason we came into this harbour was not so pleasant. On Monday morning one of the stewards fell down a high ladder at least 12 steps and since everything is steel and he landed very awkwardly, he sustained a fractured skull. Therefore they asked by radio what to do and were advised to come in the first available harbour, which we did. Before the doctor was on board the flag went half- mast and he had passed away already. We came to know him as a very friendly boy. Last Sunday he had sat with us while we were singing; we could see that he really liked it. He was not married, so it will be very sad for his family. In this way we were confronted with the shortness of life and you ask yourself, why him and not one of ours? That is grace and we thank the Lord that He kept us safe. Tomorrow we hope to arrive in Adelaide. We will write a bit more regularly when we are settled and hope to hear from you soon as well. Love from us all. PS: on Friday morning we docked in Adelaide and tomorrow we leave on the train to Perth. Daaag.$
